Diagnosis and treatment

Uterine conditions can be detected using either imaging tests, biopsy tests such as hysteroscopy, endometrial biopsy, and dilation and curettage (D&C). Uterine cancers need surgery in most cases, though a combination of other methods like chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and hormone therapy are used. Removal of the uterus is called hysterectomy, in which the uterus would be removed entirely or partially depending on the severity.
