Muscle Disease surgery in kukatpally

Muscles form an integral and vital part of our neural system. They provide the force needed to move and perform different functions. They are either genetically acquired or caused by an autoimmune condition. Sometimes the reason cannot be attributed to one cause because multiple factors such as overuse of muscles, injuries, and infections can also cause the disease. Muscles disorders can be either primary or secondary. Disorders caused directly by any abnormal function of muscles is a primary muscle disorder, while the muscle disorders resulting from other bodily ailments are secondary muscle diseases. Both can affect the muscles and nerves and may result in muscle wasting, paralysis, and loss of motor abilities.

Symptoms of Muscle Diseases

• Muscle wasting and muscle loss
• Numbness, tingling, and painful sensation
• Double vision, droopy eyelids

Secondary Muscle Diseases

These are muscle diseases that cannot be attributed directly to a muscle problem. They appear as a symptom of other diseases, including infectious diseases, endocrine disorders, metabolic disorders, immunological conditions, and vascular diseases. Geriatric muscle disease (Sarcopenia) – It is common in older adults. It is caused by poor nutrition, chronic illness, and reduced hormone levels. It causes symptoms like loss of muscle mass and muscle strength.

Dermatomyositis –

Dermatomyositis is also an inflammatory disease that primarily affects women. It can cause distinctive skin rashes, muscle weakness, and inflamed and painful muscles. Muscular dystrophy is a genetic condition wherein the person loses the ability to walk normally and perform day-to-day functions normally. Muscular dystrophy doesn't have a cure, but the symptoms can be treated effectively.

Myasthenia gravis –

It is a neuromuscular disease resulting from impaired communication between nerve cells and muscles. Voluntary skeletal muscles are affected by this disease. There is no cure for it, but treatment can control the activity of the immune system.
